JOB DESCRIPTION
Process Development Engineer- Manufacturing Engineer Galway
Manufacturing Engineer Required fro Medical Device Company based in Galway To develop and implement new manufacturing processes and to enhance and improve existing processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Resolve any technical problems that may affect production. Focus on day to day issues, line efficiency, quality issues and safety.
- Develop and implement improvements to existing processes
- Play a major role in implementing Lean Manufacturing within the plant.
- Be a key player in resolving yield issues (e.g. determining root cause, implementing corrective action and preventative action).
- Project manage product enhancements from design divisions.
- Ensure that all process documentation and manufacturing methods meet the requirements of our quality system and all the regulatory standards pertaining to the product
- Be the technical focus for all technical product issues emanating from customers, R&D divisions, sales and marketing, regulatory bodies and other functions within the site
- Follow all health, safety & environmental rules and procedures and participate in safety and environmental activities in order to improve the workplace for all employees
Requirements - Engineering degree with at least 3 years experience in a Manufacturing Engineering position.
- Must be strong in both development and implementation skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge & Medical Device experience.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma an advantage
- Knowledge of FDA and ISO compliance
- Strong project management and communications skills
- Must have demonstrated technical creativity and innovation
