Senior Electrical Facilities Engineer with 5 years plus in a similar role with experience of high volume manufacturing industry. Background in medical device industry would be an advantage.
Senior Electrical Engineer (Facilities ) with 5 years plus in a similar role with experience of high volume manufacturing industry. Background in medical device industry would be an advantage. This is a significant role within the organization and requires a person to drive the development and reliability improvement programs of existing electrical and facilities systems.
Responsibilities: - Take responsibility for general electrical safety throughout the plant
- Management of electrical maintenance personnel.
- Development of electrical maintenance strategy, including manpower skills development and appropriate preventative maintenance systems
- Ensure compliance with best practice electrical standards.
- Provide technical advice and guidance on safety and environmental initiatives.
- Monitor & control costs in areas of responsibility
- Electrical switching in MV & LV systems
- Co-ordination of electrical protection settings from the ESB supply to the final circuits.
- Maintaining the electrical single line diagrams
- Lock Out Tag Out
- Design of electrical systems
- Lead energy saving projects, review monthly energy invoices and identify savings.
- Lead electrical upgrade projects for production lines and facilities. Implement, manage and maintain Cat 3 safety systems
Requirements: - 5+ years in similar role.
- Experience in high volume manufacturing and/or Medical Device industry.
- Understanding of GMP, commissioning and validation activities
- Demonstrate past experience and leadership in safety management and safe work practices within your span of control
- Good teamwork capability within fast paced, multi disciplinary team.
- Be able to demonstrate good project management skills,
- Have good people management skills and be able to manage multiple vendors and contractors.
- Good hands on approach with excellent communication skills
- Ability to drive change and demonstrate clear leadership qualities
- Experience with CAD tools and drawing change control.
- Resolution of technical problems in complex electrical/electro-mechanical/automation systems.
- Structured approach to operation/capacity optimization, failure analysis and problem solving.
- Practical application of statistical analysis techniques. Knowledge of lean and 6-Sigma methodologies an advantage
