Retail Store Manager - Cashel
A vacancy has now arisen for a maternity cover contract with a leading fashion & design outlet in Cashel. The ideal candidate will come from a fashion, design or craft background and will have proven experience in leading teams.
Key Job Tasks: 1. Assisting in achieving the overall productivity and sales for the store.
2. To deliver the highest level of customer service standards as set down by the company.
Sales: Promote sales encourage and motivate staff to seize every opportunity to make a sale.
Ensure our gift-wrapping and packaging is of the highest standard.
Oversee the use of our customer database cards.
Ensure staff are trained in all aspects of till operations including shipping procedures.
Customer Service: Promote the highest standards of Customer Service (as per the Customer Service Manual).
Ensure that the Customer Service policies and procedures are understood by all staff and implemented.
Manage Customer queues when necessary.
Ensure that overseas orders are handled as stated in the Customer Service Manual.
Staff: Motivate and monitor staff performance, appraisals and reviews.
Encourage continuous feedback from our staff.
Encourage and praise staff on achievements and to work as a team member.
Delegate specific responsibilities to each member of the team.
Stock: Stock should be accessible, visible, clean and well merchandised.
Staff must be trained in product knowledge and confident in using the knowledge to satisfy Customer needs.
Promotions, new stock and discounts must be apparent, clear and communicated to each staff member.
Stock should be replenished during appropriate times only.
Product is priced and bar-coded correctly.
Communicate regularly with Buyers on any stock issues e.g. quality, quantity, stock levels, price, etc.
Ensure that all stock entering and leaving the store has the appropriate documentation.
Shop Standards: Ensure the shop is clean and tidy.
Till area is clear and well stocked.
Ensure staff uniform is correct and neat, name badge and jewellery from this seasons collection is worn.
The shop floor should be clear of boxes and packaging at all times.
Shelving must be cleaned regularly
Requirements: - 2-3 years experience in similar role
- Experience in clothing industry desirable
- Passion for fashion & design an advantage
- Excellent people management & communication skills
