Analytical Principal Scientist - Inhalations

This company is one of the largest pharmaceutical services company in world. Due to expansion in the company, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Scientist – Subject Matter Expert - Inhalations.

Role Highlights:

• Excellent technical capabilities with analytical expertise in method development and/or specialty technology.
• Ability to independently create presentations and conducts presentations outside of the organisaiton. 
• Problem solving abilities and capable of working independently and directing the activities of research associates.
• Ability to constructively edit documents written by others, and mentor others in written skills while allowing individual approach. Perform review or writing of  technical documents for entire site, as needed.
• Ability to drive implementation of new quality systems or enhance existing ones.  Ability to negotiate changes and balance business with operational and QA management perspective.
• Ability to drive cross-functional SOP changes.
• Ability to identify new technology and drive the implementation of new technology from technical and business perspective.
• Excellent leadership abilities.
• Ability to coordinate cross functional training.
• Ability to guide in defining of/responding to metrics.
• Ability to lead discussions or calls for own group or entire site.
• Ability to assist in cross departmental and client conflict resolution; Coordinates cross departmental resource sharing to ensure site goals are being met.
• Ability to independently provide, review and approve pricing and scope for complex studies where novel analytical approaches and/or instrumentation might be required.
• Understanding of budgeting, revenue projections and other financial terms and definitions as it applies to the business.
• Identifies and pursues new business opportunities through networking with existing and potential clients.  Full financial understanding of client GP's, business goals and needed project volumes.
• Ability to establish goals/objectives for department and development plans for leadership consistent with those goals/objectives. Directly accountable for resolving performance issues and for hiring/termination decisions.

Essential Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field with 8 years of experience in an analytical testing laboratory.
• MS in Chemistry or related field with 12 years of experience in an analytical testing laboratory.
• Must have experience from an analytical perspective with Inhalation products – Subject Matter Expert in this area for the company.
• Expert knowledge in the area of analytical method development and analytical testing.
